Whether one has money or not it is everyone"s problem and we need to understand how this pandemin affect us.It is very important that we support those who are affected and infected by HIV/AIDS and for those who still dont have it must try and remain that way. Think about this in a broader way and you will soon know how important to support each other spiritually, emotionally or financially.

If HIV and AIDS is not the world problem than why big contries are spending millions and millions of dollers in support of fighting this pandemic. The countries economies will slow down in the sense that more people will be taking sick leave and time off from work, not that all of them will be sick but they will going to be with their loved ones who are infected.Look at what will happen in education, children wont be educated because teachers will be sick, not attending classes. Some of these things are already happening.

As I stay in SA I have seen some people who have found new ways of making money out of this pandemic.People who have been in SA will agree with me on this one. When you go on the far side of the cities you will find lots of Traditional Healers who are claiming to know how to heal people with Hiv/aids, and they are charging big amounts of money.Lots of people will go to Traditional healers to seek help. I known people who went to these Traditional healers but what we witness is funerals every wekends and none of them is helped

Few months ago we read and saw on TV a man who raped a six year old child in the toilet. The child was taken to hospital and only to find that she was infected by HIV. This man was arrested and asked why he raped a child. He said he hoped that the AIDS from his body will be left on this child and he will not have it anymore.

These are some of the things that we hear everday that people will rape children with the hope of being HIV negative again....

 Comments

2010 South Africa: Will You Be There?

I am a proud SOUTH AFRICAN and very happy that World cup will be hosted in South Africa in the African soil. Most people around the world are still not sure if it is a good idea to visit Africa. Most of them have lots of questions that filled their minds.

I am not going to list all of them hear but the most important issues are: Safety and security, crime, accomodation, transport, communication, culture and most important are there any state of the art stadiums that can host thousants of fans who will be watching soccer.

I live in South Africa and sure I have some better understanding of my country. Well, to begin with all over the world crime and security is still a problem. We have seen it in big and most developed countries like USA and BRITAIN that there are some places that crime is still a problem. So like the rest of the world SOUTH AFRICA has its own policies regarding the safety and security of people. And remember that SOUTH AFRICA is the fastest growing country in AFRICA. Some people will know that SA has spent multi bilionS of Rands in improving the safety of all people.

Remember that SA is not new in hosting such big events. Remember when we hosted THE HEADS OF STATES SUMMIT and the RUGBY WORLD CUP?

I live in JHB and have seen what development has been done in terms of building stadiums, improvement of transport and also the awareness campaign to ordinary people obout the 2010 WORLD CUP. I am sure you will remembber that SA was once or still known for political unrest due to the aparteid government. People were forced to carry the so called BOMB PASS and must have permits to visit some parts of the country. They will be beaten, arrested or even killed. But now all that is History thanks to the democratic elections in 1994. Now you can visit Black townships without fear and you will be sure to find Shopping malls, B&B Accomodations, musiums and many more other things.

I must admit that not everything is in place. there is still more to be done as to make this World Cup a success.

There are still things you would like to know about SA and Africa before you decide to come and I am sure in my next posting I will try and explain some things you might see, places to visit even people to meet. But SA is the place to be...
